He eventually ended up winning $340,000 thanks to a hidden $100,000 check in the prison. Moreover, Josh used $20,000 of the winning amount to buy an engagement ring to propose to his girlfriend.

In the video, the YouTuber presented ten contestants with the opportunity to win the chocolate factory or get $500,000. Eventually, YouTuber Dallin Lambert took home $500,000 after going through various challenges.

So, Donaldson ended up giving away $613,000 in the video. The epic tennis clash of Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs in 1973 is popularly known as the Battle of Sexes.

Both sides had to stay for 100 hours to win $500,000, meaning each individual would receive $5,000. It was the women’s side that eventually grabbed the victory.

So, the YouTube star decided to give away a private island worth $2 million to celebrate this achievement. But he invited 100 subscribers and had them participate in various challenges.

A subscriber finally found it and became the lucky winner of the island. The 100 million YouTuber gave suitcases containing $10,000 to 100 subscribers.

But MrBeast and his crew would look for those contestants, and those able to hide till the time hit the 10-hour mark, would keep the money. Later in the video, Donaldson called up a SWAT team to help find those hiding for a bounty of $60,000.

Eventually, 23 contestants stayed hidden, meaning Jimmy gave away $230,000. Donaldson had a subscriber live alone inside a red circle for 100 days for the ultimate award of $500,000.

But he didn’t give up. The YouTube star ever offered $100,000 and $250,000 for him to quit early.

Moreover, the video recently got over 100 million views, and the subscriber joined the MrBeast crew. In October 2022, Donaldson released a video where he and his friends traveled across the world, trying various hotels.

On the ship, he asked two staff to look for $100,000 hidden across the ship in cheques. The staff members had limited time to look for the cheques, and they could keep whatever they discover.

Jimmy Donaldson assembled a group of YouTubers and had them compete for a $2.5 million private jet. He had them place their hands on the jet, and the last to remove the hand keeps the jet.

Even MrBeast tried to make the challenge difficult to narrow down the number of competitors. Eventually, Harry “WroeToShaw” Lewis won the private jet, which he gave to his brother and sister.

MrBeast hit the 100-million-subscriber milestone in July 2022, and livestreamed his reaction, thanking his many fans and supporters. In the live stream, the YouTuber said, “I appreciate every single one of you that watches the videos.

All I do is wake up every day and obsess over how to make the best videos possible.” MrBeast also said that he certainly hasn’t run out of ideas for YouTube videos, planning to keep his channel going for 20 to 30 years.

Ultimately, MrBeast is profiting off of what he calls “charity,” and it’d be way more charitable and humble if MrBeast didn’t document every $10 he handed out. However, the internet went overboard when MrBeast paid for 1000 people’s surgery to get their sight back.

Though MrBeast’s YouTube video of the three-week event might have come off cringey to some viewers, he gave 1000 blind people their sight back, and they likely remain visually impaired for their entire lives if it wasn’t for him. The same goes for the clothing for the homeless and his many other philanthropic adventures.

But the selfless YouTuber doesn’t have to be making a video to give some cash away. On Wednesday he joined the app “Clubhouse,” where you can listen to people talk about various subjects in their area of interest and expertise, causing a crash due to the influx of participants as MrBeast chose one listener to give $5,000.

Except, of course, for the fact that one’s public persona doesn’t necessarily reflect everything that goes on behind the scenes and in private. Not even someone as seemingly pure as Donaldson can avoid their share of criticism.

More recently, the New York Times reported that several “[several] former employees said the working conditions at his companies — Mr. Donaldson has set up a variety of corporate entities including MrBeastYouTube, MrBeastCrypto and Rubber Duck Company — have been rife with favoritism and bullying.”.

Donaldson so far has not commented on the allegations or criticism. A representative “declined to address the working conditions at his companies but said of the videos with offensive content: ‘When Jimmy was a teenager and was first starting out, he carelessly used, on more than one occasion, a gay slur.

Known now as YouTube’s biggest philanthropist, MrBeast is soon to be the king of YouTube — and a selfless one at that. When he hit 20 million subscribers on the platform, he decided to plant 20 million trees in a giant field where people could pay $1 for a tree in their name.

As he continues to take over, we can expect even bigger things from Donaldson, but also don’t expect him to shy away from the little acts of kindness, like changing the life of a homeless man. MrBeast is only 23 years old but he’s created a YouTube empire. He has 90 million subscribers and over 14 billion views — so you’ve probably already seen a MrBeast video.

So how much money does MrBeast have. And how does MrBeast have so much money.

I wanted to find out. So I did some digging.

In this post, I breakdown all of his income streams to give you a better understanding of how you can build a REAL business on YouTube. Let’s dive in.

MrBeast is the top-earning YouTuber at the moment — he earned over $50 million dollars last year alone. But it doesn’t all come from YouTube ads.

We can actually calculate approximately how much money he’s making per month from his YouTube ads. The formula for this is = views x ad rate.

Next, we figure out how much money MrBeast makes by calculating his CPM. CPM basically means cost per 1000 views.

My channel for instance makes around $40 to $50 dollars CPM. MrBeast’s CPM is probably lower though because his audience isn’t as gorgeous as mine — so it’s probably around $4.

(10 million views / 1000 CPM) * $4 ad rate = $40,000. So he’s making around $40,000 dollars/day.

So that means he’s making around $1.2 million dollars every month. Multiply that by yearly and he’s doing $14 million/year just on YouTube ads.

Pretty cool.

He does sponsorships on both his main channel and his gaming channel, but how much is he actually making from them.

MrBeast’s Gaming Channel 2.64 sponsored videos/month * $150,000 per sponsorship = around $396,000/month. MrBeast’s Main Channel 1.32 sponsored videos/month * $390,000 per sponsorship = around $522,720/month.

He’s also making money from his merch. MrBeast has sold all different kinds of merch.

So let’s estimate the amount of money he’s actually making from his merch…. It really varies based on what conversion rate he’s getting.

For ecommerce, 10% is usually a high conversion rate. We estimate his conversion rate is probably around 10%.

He does the limited edition drop strategy. This is something that you should copy for your own business — we’ve done it at AppSumo — which creates urgency with the limited quantities of products.

And it looks like he’s been doing these limited edition merch drops about once a month so a healthy 10% conversion rate is definitely very possible. Based on his merch prices in the past, we guess that the average order value on his site is around $25.

We also guess that around 1 million people visit his merch site per month. Time for the math….

From selling some swag.

So now that we’ve broken down all of MrBeast’s revenue streams and we have an idea of how much money MrBeast is bringing in every month, let’s calculate his yearly revenue. The simple answer to how does MrBeast have so much money.

So MrBeast makes around $55 million dollars/year. That’s how he has so much money.

And then he gives a lot of it away.

Revenue ≠ Profit. MrBeast makes over $50 million dollars per year from all his income streams, but that doesn’t mean that’s what’s left in the bank at the end of the year.

If you’re making content, commit to doing a hundred videos. We’ve seen from MrBeast that you can make a multi-million dollar business from YouTube and by being a media company.

So if you’re interested in doing that too, commit to it. If you can commit to a hundred videos there’s a high likelihood you will be able to be successful.

MrBeast has given away millions of dollars to various viewers since going viral in 2017. MrBeast – whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson – is known as “Youtube’s biggest philanthropist.”.

With each donation, he gets millions of views. These views become a return investment for him, which he is then able to profit from.

In a 2018 video, MrBeast addressed his income, stating: “My parents aren’t that rich.. every dollar I’ve ever made came from Youtube, and Youtube just pays better than you think.”.
